Higher Frequencies of T-Cells Expressing NK-Cell Markers and Chemokine Receptors in Parkinson’s Disease

چکیده

Immune cells are thought to be involved in a destructive cycle of sterile cerebral inflammatory responses neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s Disease (PD). Despite their peripheral origin, immune may enter the CNS due impaired blood–brain barrier function and potentially contribute neuronal damage. Hence, specific characteristics peripherally activated could help understanding neurodegeneration PD serve accessible disease markers. To investigate cell activation status, expression receptors for surface molecules CD161, NKG2A, NKG2C NKG2D well chemokine CCR6, CXCR2, CXCR3 CCR5 associated with was investigated. The frequencies CD8+ T-cells expressing inhibitory activating NKG2A NKG2C, receptor were higher patients than healthy matched controls. NKG2C+CD8− also higher, whereas CD161+ not significantly different. Of receptor-expressing cells, only proportion CD4−CD56+CCR5+ These observations support hypothesis that an imbalance state plays role pathological processes suggest blood phenotypes early markers inflammation PD.

Emergence of CD8+ T cells expressing NK cell receptors in influenza A virus-infected mice.

Both innate and adaptive immune responses play an important role in the recovery of the host from viral infections. In the present report, a subset of cells coexpressing CD8 and NKR-P1C (NK1.1) was found in the lungs of mice infected with influenza A virus. These cells were detected at low numbers in the lungs of uninfected mice, but represented up to 10% of the total CD8(+) T cell population a...

Chemokine receptors and T cell chemotaxis

T he migration of T cells is a highly regulated process, serving to distribute functional subsets of cells to the appropriate tissue or microenvironment. The role of adhesion molecules in this process is well appreciated (1, 2) however an additional class of molecules, the chemoattrac-tant cytokines (chemokines) and their receptors, are now receiving considerable attention, because of their fun...

CMV drives the expansion of highly functional memory T cells expressing NK-cell receptors in renal transplant recipients.

Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a common opportunistic infection encountered in renal transplant recipients (RTRs) and may be reactivated without symptoms at any time post-transplant. We describe how active and latent CMV affect T-cell subsets in RTRs who are stable on maintenance therapy. T-cell responses to CMV were assessed in RTRs (n = 54) >2 years post-transplant, and healthy controls (n = 38). S...

CCR4-expressing T cell tumors can be specifically controlled via delivery of toxins to chemokine receptors.

Expression of chemokine receptors by tumors, specifically CCR4 on cutaneous T cell lymphomas, is often associated with a poor disease outcome. To test the hypothesis that chemokine receptor-expressing tumors can be successfully controlled by delivering toxins through their chemokine receptors, we have generated fusion proteins designated chemotoxins: chemokines fused with toxic moieties that ar...
